چکیده
The sea cucumber, Apostichopus japonicus, is one of the most valuable aquatic species. color body wall and appearance are important for value cucumbers. To examine expression pattern long-chain acyl-coenzyme A dehydrogenase (LCAD), nuclear distribution C-containing protein 3 (NUDCD3), receptor tyrosine kinase Tie-1 (TIE1), previously reported as differently expressed genes during pigmentation we analyzed temporal profiles LCAD, NUDCD3, TIE1 mRNAs in LED-exposed light-shielded A. japonicus. Real-time quantitative PCR revealed that from juveniles at 40–60 days post-fertilization (dpf) exhibited increasing patterns compared to those an early developmental larva (6-dpf). At 60-dpf juveniles, LCAD mRNA levels individuals were higher than ones, whereas 40-dpf 50-dpf NUDCD3 was condition (p<0.05). In pigmented (90-dpf), tended show red green but there a conversely level larva. situ examination 6-dpf both mainly internal organs surface. Together, these results may provide insights into differential gene process cucumber.

Heat stress-mediated gene expression in the body wall of the Japanese sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus
Suppression subtractive hybridization was used to analyze the differences in gene expression in the body wall of the Japanese sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus, induced by heat stress (28°C), in order to understand the response at the molecular level. A total of 737 clones was selected and analyzed, and 165 distinct sequences were obtained, with 65 sharing similarity to sequences in public da...
متن کاملAbsorption and Transport of Sea Cucumber Saponins from Apostichopus japonicus
The present study is focused on the intestinal absorption of sea cucumber saponins. We determined the pharmacokinetic characteristics and bioavailability of Echinoside A and Holotoxin A₁; the findings indicated that the bioavailability of Holotoxin A₁ was lower than Echinoside A. We inferred that the differences in chemical structure between compounds was a factor that explained their different...
متن کاملIdentification and functional characterisation of 5-HT4 receptor in sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus (Selenka)
Serotonin (5-HT) is an important neurotransmitter and neuromodulator that controls a variety of sensory and motor functions through 5-HT receptors (5-HTRs). The 5-HT4R subfamily is linked to Gs proteins, which activate adenylyl cyclases (ACs), and is involved in many responses in peripheral organs. In this study, the 5-HT4R from Apostichopus japonicus (Aj5-HT4R) was identified and characterised...
متن کاملCharacterization and Expression Analysis of MicroRNAs in the Tube Foot of Sea Cucumber Apostichopus japonicus
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of endogenous non-coding small RNA with average length of 22 nucleotides, participating in the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. In this study, we report the identification and characterization of miRNAs in the tube foot of sea cucumber (Apostichopus japonicus) by next generation sequencing with Illumina HiSeq 2000 platform. Through the bioinform...
متن کاملMolecular cloning and functional characterization of a calreticulin gene from the sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus
Calreticulin (CRT) plays crucial roles in the regulation of Ca 2+ homeostasis, immune responses and molecular chaperon. In this study, a new member of the CRT gene (denoted as AjCRT) was cloned and characterized from the sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus. The full-length of the gene was of 3316 bp, which consisted of 204 bp 5’ untranslated region (UTR), 1870 bp of 3’-UTR and a putative 1242-b...
